Legends of Elysium in Game Heroes
As a self-proclaimed gaming enthusiast and blogger, I have decided to delve into the magnificent game world of Legends of Elysium (LoE), with the intention of dissecting and explaining the game’s complexities and intricacies, particularly focusing on the in-game heroes. These characters enrich the gameplay experience significantly, and thus, deserve a detailed look into their functionalities and distinctive traits.
In LoE, the gameplay necessitates the creation of a personalised hero that not only represents the player in the game arena but also stipulates the player’s unique style of play. This tailored representation brings an element of individualism to the highly competitive world of LoE. Interestingly, a player can possess multiple heroes within the same account, all featuring a maximum level cap of 50. The higher your hero’s level, the more HP it carries onto the battlefield, and the more experience and wealth you, as a player, are likely to acquire.
Let’s now peek into the game’s initial stages – Players are offered three race choices including Human, Orc, and Dark Elf. All three races have their specific passive skills, mainly revolving around different types of cards. The passive abilities grow stronger parallel to the hero’s level.
To briefly highlight each race and its features:
– Humans endow a +1/+1 bonus to a randomly chosen Farmland unit on the battleground with each passing Nth-turn.
– The Orcish advantages extend similar benefits but to a random Mountain unit.
– The Dark Elves utilise similarly structured benefits for a Forest unit.
This race-related bonus becomes activated once the hero reaches level 6, and it accelerates as the hero’s level advances.
The hero can also choose a class from options like warriors, archers, or mages, each granting different special passive skills unrelated to the units. For example, a warrior begins the battle with an extra +5 HP, the archer places an additional land in the first turn, and a mage begins with one random spell card.
An engaging part of LoE is its integration of Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs). For instance, each hero who gets promoted to level 2 can be minted as an NFT, making it a transferable asset. To upgrade your hero’s level, you must participate in battles, thereby gathering enough experience.
New heroes always start at level one. To level up, heroes need an increasing amount of experience. Here’s how we calculate the experience needed for the next level:
Required XP = Hero’s level multiplier * hero’s level + past required XP.
An example could be: If you have a level 3 hero and need to advance to level 4, you would need 105 XP (calculated as 19 * 3 + 48).
The experience you earn after a battle varies depending on the outcome, as well as your hero’s level and class. Winning a battle gets you a base experience of 10 XP, which is adjusted according to the post-battle HP status and consequently multiplied by the hero’s level and class rate, again multiplied by XP boost if applicable.
For instance, if a player with a level 24 hero and a 25% XP boost loses a battle, and the winner has 5% life left, the player gains 210 XP (calculated as 10 XP * 0.7 * 24 * 1.25). A winning level 24 hero with no XP boost would get 240 XP (calculated as 10 XP * 1 * 24 * 1).
The inner workings of Legends of Elysium are truly an intricate weave of fascinating game mechanics and features. I hope this detailed dissection of “heroes” sheds some light on some critical aspects, and aids you in your Elysian adventure.
